Gregory in as Maplewood football coach
The Maplewood-Richmond Heights football team has a new head coach.
Assistant coach Brandon Gregory has been named the head coach. He takes over for David Harris who has been at the helm of the Blue Devils for the past six seasons. Gregory started his coaching career with MRH under Harris. He was the assistant head coach, special teams coordinator and coached the defensive backs and wide receivers.
Under Harris the Blue Devils moved from an independent to the Mississippi Area Conference Blue Division. The high water mark under Harris was the 2007 and 2008 seasons. The Blue Devils went unbeaten in conference play and advanced to the Class 2 semifinals, the best finishes in school history. They went a combined 25-2 in that time.
The Blue Devils went 51-20 in Harris’ six seasons.
