Video of Oakville’s fantastic finish
The Oakville basketball team couldn’t get anything to go in the basket for more than five minutes at the end of its Class 5 semifinal game against CBC on Thursday night at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.
Then senior guard Josh Noblitt drilled a long 3-pointer — his sixth of the night — with 6 seconds remaining to tie the score at 41-41 and send the game to overtime, where the Tigers eventually prevailed 47-44 to move on to Saturday’s championship game.
Rus Baer of the Columbia Tribune was shooting video of the final seconds in regulation and in the overtime period and captured some moments that Oakville fans won’t soon forget.
